The Corolla Lifesaving Association Junior Lifeguard program encourages ocean environment awareness and provides a venue for children to learn basic safety and become familiar with the natural aquatic environment. Junior guard participants will be introduced to methods of staying safe, responding to an emergency, rescue techniques, and physical fitness.
The program was formed in alliance with Corolla Beach Rescue where current and veteran ocean lifeguards teach and reinforce ocean safety to the patrons of the Outer Banks.
